Collection of Interesting Silver and Metal Thimbles:
1 - Windmill scene on blue and white enamel. Marked 925. 8-pointed star on dome of Gebruder Gabler.
2 - Pink roses on blue enamel band on rim. Turquoise glass top. Marked inside dome 935.
3 - Silver with Zurich pictured in enamel. 'P' in star on dome. Stamped 925.
4 - Carnelian stone top. No mark. Decorative band and punched sides.
5. Henry Griffiths & Sons Sterling Silver Thimble. Birmingham 1931. Punched dome with daisy band and another band which says "ROBINSON THE JEWELLER'. Rim is marked which includes 'The Spa'.
6. Charles Horner Sterling Silver Thimble with a Red Stone Dome. Chester 1902.
7. Plain band and wave decoration on band above rim. Marked as sterling silver on side and with Simon Bros. S in shield inside dome.
8. Silver and gold-coloured border with deeply embossed feathers. Initials MJJ in cartouche. Simon Brothers shield inside dome. Possibly white metal as no sterling stamp.
9. Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee. Royal coat of arms 1977. Small hallmark inside dome which we believe says Sheffield 1977, JS and S.
10. Royal coat of arms. Coloured plaque of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. "Royal Silver Jubilee" on enamel rim. Birmingham 1977. Stamped 'P S' for Peter Swingler.
