Buying at Brilliant Auctions
We want your buying experience to be fun and easy. There are lots of ways you can participate in our auctions.
How to Register
There are a number of ways you can register for a sale.
- You can email us directly at enquiries@brilliantauctions.com to register and leave a commission bid at least 2 hours ahead of the auction start time. If you register this way there will be no additional platform fees on any bids you win.
- You can register for an account using the 'Login/Register' button at the top of this page. This will create an account with easyliveAuction.com and they will charge a 3% +VAT fee on any lots you win at auction.
- You can register directly through easyliveAuction.com. You can choose either a 3% +VAT fee on any lots you win or pay a flat fee of £3 per auction.
- You can register through Bidspirit.com. You will be charged a 1% +VAT fee on any lots you win.
How to Bid
In person: We hold some of our auctions live (you’ll see this clearly marked on our upcoming auctions list) and we’d love you to join us in person to experience the thrill of the auction room. We’ll let you know which auctions are live in-person on our social media in plenty of time so you can get the date in your diary! If you join us in-person you will be given your paddle to wave at the auctioneer as and when you wish - with caution obviously!
Online: You can bid online from the comfort of your own home. You’ll need to set up an account and register for the relevant auction. You can then join live and bid on anything you fancy. You’ll be bidding live on the system competing with room-bidders.
Pre-bidding: If you can’t watch the auction live, fear not, you can either pre-bid on the system prior to the auction or you can contact us via email to leave a commission bid at enquiries@brilliantauctions.co.uk.
Payment
If you have successfully won lots, immediately after the auction ends you’ll receive your invoice via email. Your invoice will include a Buyers’ Premium of 20% + VAT and any applicable platform fees. You can pay using the link in the invoice, or by bank transfer if you prefer (our bank details and how you need to label your payment will be on the invoice.) Your invoice will also allow you to request a shipping quote if you would prefer to have your lots dispatched to you. Once paid, your items will be promptly shipped.
Collection
If you are local and would like to collect, simply contact us by phone or email to arrange a collection day and time, ideally within 3 days of the sale. We are able to move items between our locations (Sheffield and Sunderland) if that makes collection easier for you. Again, just contact us if you would like to arrange this.
