Collection of 9 Silver and White Metal Thimbles, including some American examples:
1 - Black Niello inlay. Marked 'Jerusalem' and 'sterling' inside of dome.
2 - Punched dome with Gebruder Gabler 8-pointed star. Ivy sprays on rim. Marked with 925, London import mark, 1974 and mark of Peter Gilmore Ltd.
3 - Marked 925. Gilt rim set with 5 different coloured stones. Small flower on dome. Various small markings above rim including '925'. Believed to be Italian.
4 - White metal - decorative band of Breton children dancing. French. Very small indistinguishable mark on top rim of band. Believed to be designed by Prudhomme c.1890-1900.
5. Scenic band of road, mountains, trees and house. Marked on band as sterling and engraved with initials 'JMC'. Marked inside dome with Simon Bros S in shield.
6. Unmarked silver or white metal. Believed to be hand-made by Navajo
7. Fluted octagon band. Marked sterling on band. Marked inside dome with Simon Bros S in shield.
8. Panelled base inscribed with initials AHM. Marked sterling. Simon Bros S in shield inside dome.
9. American tailor's thimble (no top). Decorated rim.
